The molecular laboratories have been specially designed with a molecular facility blueprint and the negative pressure work flows enable precise processing of specimens for molecular tests and procedures. They are equipped with the latest updated technologic systems and utilize well defined, accurate and certified methods and reagents for testing.
Different laboratories process varying categories of specimens processed at Synapse and a unique facility is dedicated for blood bank tests while other molecular labs process varying categories of specimens. Each laboratory is supervised by expert consultants in the specified field to assist in maintaining standards for certification of the laboratory. Trained and certified staff is authorized to operate the facility.
Our quality assurance program includes: the development and maintenance of written procedures; training, continuing education and competency evaluation of staff; participation in proficiency testing programs; validation of software, hardware, equipment and procedures; and the analysis of errors and outcomes of routine audits and practices.
